The mechanic I have been using for the last 30 years retired, and I had several unsatisfying maintenance appointments with the local dealership, so I friend of mine suggested I give Walt Eger's Service Center a try. I had my first service this week, and everything went well. The work I needed was fairly routine (oil change, tire rotation, overall maintenance inspection). They we're ready to begin the work at the time we agreed on (unlike dealerships that often required me wait well past the appointment time), and that minimized the time that I had to take off from work. They emailed me pictures of everything they checked on my vehicle (tire depth, brake pad life, battery capacity, etc.), and they completed the work in under an hour as I waited in their comfortable waiting room. They had good communication throughout the appointment, and another plus is that they didn't find anything else that needed to be serviced (unlike the dealership that often found additional unnecessary extras to run up the bill). Overall, I'm very satisfied with this first service and I'll be back.

Above and beyond service!! Staff went above beyond excellent customer service, during recent visit for a vehicle inspection. Highly recommend if you are in need of an auto shop or inspection service!!!

Went there for a routine tire rotation and inspection for an upcoming road trip. They found that a patch that had been put on the tire was not in good shape. When I got the car back, it was indeed, not in good shape. I was able to bring the car in the morning the next day and get the tire replaced and back to me before 2pm. Great experience

As always, Walt Eger's Service did a great job in making all of my requested service a pleasure. I was especially impressed that they even shined my wheel covers while rotating & balancing my wheels.

Good work and finished when they said they wood but it was a little more then I was expecting

HI Danny, Thanks for the solid review. We will not be the least expensive shop for sure. Hopefully the team educated you on your brakes receiving a 2 year/24k mile warranty. As the owner, I am proud to say, we are the ONLY shop I am aware of that will warranty brakes in the industry. My counterparts think I am crazy, but I just believe customers don't want to look through fine print when they have paid hard earned money for their repairs. So we stand behind our work way more than most. Hopefully there is no issue, but please know we have you covered if there is. Thanks again - Bruce Spencer

Please don’t take your car here. They did a state inspection on my car and we dropped it off before they even opened was the first person there, they waited till the next day last minute to do the inspection. Didn’t call us, no updates, the staff and management are all saying different things so communication is not in their business. They told us originally the car would only take an hour or two turns out it was a two day thing and they didn’t even call to update us on anything. They will find every single issue wrong with your car to fail it for inspection. As long as they are getting paid they could care less. If I could give them 0 stars I would.

Regarding the Maryland Safety Inspection, it would help if we can identify the vehicle to review it. As an inspection station, we must follow the Maryland State Police guidelines when completing them. At times, if the vehicle has many issues, it can be frustrating for sure.
